When the deadline hits, the squad link auto-closes and the order is locked. The print queue begins immediately. The captain can extend the deadline with one click if needed, but the default is firm — our data shows firm deadlines drive 94% participation rates. Late members who miss the deadline must wait for the next order cycle or place an individual custom order.

The squad link remains active until the deadline, so new members can join anytime before the cutoff. If someone joins after the deadline, the captain can either reopen the link for a limited time or send the new member to the Custom Lab for an individual order using the same design template.
